In true British mystery style, it involves a host of unusual characters being scrutinised by an upper class detective (the endearingly feckless John Jobling) and his working class associate (the patient, capable Doris Golightly).
With "The Gin Chronicles" though, you also get live sound effects and a raft of voices in a radio-style setting that blends Noel Coward & P.G.Wodehouse with exhilarating physical silliness.
Jobling & Golightly embark on an exhilarating journey to uncover the whereabouts of missing gin magnate Cornelius Juniper as we meet Leonard the paper boy, Terry the friendly cabby, Juniper's 3 daughters, a man called Tarquin Throckmashington, some naughty French ball-bearing enthusiasts, some west country distillery workers & more..!
With live sound effects, thrills, no intentional spills, a dollop of mischief and a wee dash of derring-do, we invite you to bring all generations (though no gin for the under-age, clearly) to enjoy a show that'll leave you smiling and with a spring in your step.

Interrupt the Routine was founded in 2014 by Robert Blackwood and Nick Cowell. Both of them believed then, as they do now, that making people happy is key. Courtesy, professionalism, energy and going about your business with a smile.
In December 2022, Interrupt the Routine delivered its 1,000th event and we’re looking forward to the next 1,000 being done in a fraction of that time.
Under Company Director Robert Blackwood, Interrupt the Routine has gone from strength to strength, adding virtual events since 2020 to continue delivering our signature quality and reaching clients all over the world.
